Acenti Lighting recently showcased its expertise in a stunning case study for the Hyatt Regency, Chicago, where it played a pivotal role in delivering a breathtaking lighting solution. Working alongside Hyatt’s Interior Designer, Ealain Studio, Acenti’s attention to detail and commitment to creating custom solutions ensured the project exemplified sophistication and modernity.
The centerpiece of the design was a multi-tiered suspended ceiling featuring pie-shaped glass panels paired with obround rhombus downlights (including Tech Lighting’s Rhonan). Below this intricate ceiling structure, Acenti’s ELEVATE linear fixtures were suspended in a cross pattern, creating additional layers of visual intrigue while providing both direct and indirect illumination. These design elements complemented the Hyatt’s renovation goals of achieving a clean, elegant, and vibrant atmosphere.
To meet the design team’s request for a more refined linear lighting solution, Acenti pushed boundaries with customized features. The ELEVATE linear rows were meticulously adapted with 5-inch high glass side panels to mirror the frosted glass effect of the overhead ceiling. The fixtures were tailored with custom lengths to fit the exact perimeter of the suspended ceiling and special canopy designs that concealed oversized electrical boxes. These modifications not only improved functionality but also enhanced the aesthetic harmony between the ceiling and lighting elements.
This project highlights Acenti Lighting’s ability to turn complex design visions into reality, combining technical innovation with a keen eye for beauty. The Hyatt Regency Chicago’s space is now not just well-lit but transformed into a masterpiece of modern lighting design.
